1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account with Sidrat Digital Inc. (Business Number: 780742979) or using the Sidrat mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the service.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sidrat Digital Inc., a federally incorporated Canadian company based in Pickering, Ontario.

2. The Service

Sidrat is the first RuhOS — a personal application designed for spiritual practice, Quran reading, prayer tracking, Zakat calculation, family deen coordination, and contextual support across the seasons of life. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Sidrat software for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Sidrat. Users aged 13 to 17 may use Sidrat with parental consent. Users under 13 may use Sidrat only as part of a Family Plan account with verifiable parental consent and ongoing parental supervision, in compliance with COPPA and GDPR-K.

By using Sidrat, you represent and warrant that you meet these age requirements.

4. Account responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information
  • You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • You will notify us immediately at info@sidrat.io if you suspect unauthorized access

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the Sidrat application
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access or interact with the service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its associated servers and networks
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the service or its systems
  • Use the service for any unlawful, deceptive, or harmful purpose
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

6. Intellectual property

Our content

The Sidrat name, the Sidrat tree logo, the “growing tree” visual system, the user interface designs, the app architecture, all source code, and the curated content (sunnah deeds database, tafsir cross-references, hadith integrations, Sidrat Stories, encouragement language) are the exclusive property of Sidrat Digital Inc. and are protected by Canadian copyright and trademark laws and international treaties.

Your content

You retain ownership of any content you create within Sidrat (personal reflections, journal entries, Legacy Vault recordings, family circle communications). By using the service, you grant Sidrat Digital Inc. a limited license to store and process this content solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not use it for any other purpose.

7. Subscription and payments

Sidrat offers a free tier with core functionality. Premium and Family Plan subscriptions unlock additional features.

If you subscribe to premium features, payment is handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store under their respective billing systems. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period through the respective platform’s subscription management.

Refunds are governed by the respective platform’s policies (Apple’s refund policy for App Store purchases, Google’s for Play Store purchases).

8. Legacy Vault commitment

If you record content in the Legacy Vault feature (available with Family Plan subscriptions), Sidrat Digital Inc. commits to preserving that content as long as the service exists, regardless of subscription status, subject to the inheritance protocols described in the app. You retain ownership of all Legacy Vault content and may export it at any time.

9. Disclaimers

Sidrat is a personal tool, not a replacement for qualified Islamic scholarship or professional services. While we work with qualified scholars for content curation, the app does not constitute a fatwa or formal religious ruling. For complex Islamic questions, consult a qualified scholar.

Sidrat’s emotional support features and crisis routing are supplementary tools, not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or crisis hotline.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” While we strive for high availability and reliability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sidrat Digital Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunity, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Sidrat Digital Inc. is not liable for any spiritual, financial, or personal decisions you make based on the information presented in the app. The app is a tool to support your practice, not a substitute for your own judgment and qualified counsel.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by following the account deletion process in the app’s Settings. Upon termination, your data will be permanently erased within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you violate these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if continued provision of the service to you becomes commercially unfeasible. In such cases, we will provide reasonable notice where possible and assist with data export.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of Sidrat shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at info@sidrat.io to attempt informal resolution.

13. Apple App Store additional terms

If you download Sidrat from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply: Apple Inc. is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the service or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the service. Apple is, however, a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and has the right to enforce them against you. In the event of any failure of the service to conform to applicable warranties, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (where applicable). Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the service.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.

15. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sidrat Digital Inc. regarding your use of the service and supersede any prior agreements between you and Sidrat Digital Inc. regarding the service.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app and via email if you have provided one. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent changes.
